End of Demo

We can no longer use our frontdoor, there are no steps or front porch.

There , no more house.

The white round thing is a 150 watt lightbulb that was found in the dirt. How it survived I will never know.

These were an example of all the rocks dug out of the basement, I was disapointed that there were not any the size of cars. I really wanted a great big one. Gary asked me if I was crazy?

Basement is all dug and now we wait for the cement people. We ONLY have to wait about 10 days! No problem we are just having all kinds of fun camping! Got to love it! Just us rednecks in Helper! :) For all of those people that are making fun of our washer out side. Maybe we just need a couch outside.

Here is the beast that will take down our house! I was scared when I saw the size and how close the electrical lines were. I told Harley that I was scared and she said "go talk to your flowers and pretend it isn't happening". Wise words!

Bye rose bushes! :(

There she goes!

Even the toilet.

There it is, just a pile of rubble and a lot of fond memories.

Demo continues

Here is the love of my life destroying my kitchen!

I think he a little too much fun(not really, he was dieing from the heat.)

Gary had to saw the house in half, it wasn't as hard as he thought it would be. I, of course, worried that he was biting off more than he could chew. I need to have more faith!

Our poor bathroom! Later today is the actual tear down with the trachoe! The dumpster just arrived, it's time for it to come down!

Gary came home and said those famous words" isn't this so easy"!!!!!!!

Anyway this is what the house looks like now.

Gary hooked up my washer outside of the trailer and this is me doing my first of many outside loads.

Notice the rain gutter hooked up to the washer with duct tape? This is so we can control the direction of water that is pumped out. I am so happy with it! At least I don't have to haul all the clothes to the laundrymatt.

This is cooking Sunday dinner in the trailer. This is and will be my biggest problem, lack of working space.

My last picture of the yellow roses in front of the house.
They will all be dug up and removed. I will miss them, but I think I will be the only one. Gary is looking forward to their demise. No more being stuck by their wicked thorns while mowing the grass. We are going to try to transplant some up on the canal bank, but I don't know how well they will take.
See everyone later!

We are starting.....

Hi everyone, it has been so long and Salinda gave me all kinds of grief about not staying current and I did start one post and it is saved but I don't know how to get it where I can post it!
Anyway we are now living in our trailer and preparing to tear down half of our home on friday of this week. Am I scared, worried, concerned??? Does the wind blow in Helper?????
So this right now is a very disorganized time and by the way, I can't remember how to put my pictures on the computer and then get them on the blog@%&*%##@@@! Salinda says" Mom just plug the camera into the computer" yea then what, nothing came up to tell me what to do next!
