November and December

Hi everyone, I don't keep up on this very well and every time I work with pictures I get the blue screen of death!
Anyway, November was good. We had a special get- a -way together in Gateway Colorado. Gateway is located north east of Moab, on the border of Utah. We were able to fly in and land on a dirt run way. Anywhere Gary can fly into is a great place to go! I have to say that I am getting very used to this flying stuff, it saves so much time!
Gateway is a lot like the Moab area with red rock and gorgeous rock formations. The one funny thing was when we were driving around and came on a big yellow sign that said "Danger, you are entering radioactive areas" I laughed and thought how we choose differant places to recreate in.
We are getting ready for Christmas like everyone else and have already shipped off packages to Japan. Who would have thought that my daughter would live so far away!!
Well everyone have a wonderful Christmas and I am going to work on the pictures!

More Sept. Happenings

This past weekend we went to Grand Jct. Colorado to see an airshow. While there we went to the Colorado National Monument. It was awe inspiring. On the picture above you can see a cattle trail that the early settlers carved out of this cliff.

We loved the veiw!

Look really close at the top of the next picture and you can see two people that had climbed it!

We really enjoyed seeing this part of the country and we met some really interesting people.

Sept. Happings!

Hi Everyone,
We are back and trying this again. Here are Gabe and Crystals kids. We went over there for the day and had a great lunch and got to play with the kids. We can't get over how big they are getting. We didn't get a picture of Abby that day, she was very tired and was taking a nap.

later back at home Gary found a stick bug and I was very impressed with it and was extra happy that it was living in the garden. We thought that the kids would like to see it. (I know, I know, we need to get out more!)

We have family home evening with some friends and for this Monday we went for a four wheeler ride on the west side of Helper.

We cooked our dinner over a fire and it tasted sooo good!

Remember the steel bridge we used to walk over?
Someone decided that it would be fun to burn, so if you look close you can see that the middle section and left have been burned. :(

Memory Tag

Memory Tag
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

The airstrip
A week ago Gary and I (mostly Gary) made it possible for our friend Doug to take some flying lessons. Doug had always expressed a desire to learn but hadn't done anything . Now Doug has cancer and the outlook could be a little better, so Gary decided it was time for Doug to learn. The whole problem was getting Doug out to the dirt airstrip at Scofield without knowing that this huge surprise was waiting for him. It took a lot of doing but with several people helping the plan happened. It was so touching to see so many people sacrifice for one persons dreams!!!!
This is a view of the big bucket that fills with water and then dumps on the kiddy slide.

Fun Place
Me and Abbey swirling around and around.

This is Gabe's birthday cake that Crystal made! She is so talented.
It was Gabe's birthday too! He is opening up Salinda's gift.
Fun
Gary had given Jayce a cup which he thought was much more interesting. I don't think Jayce is into books yet!

This is Jayce, Gabe and Crystals little boy, he just celbrated his first birthday on July 29.

To start off this entry I just wanted to share this picture of Niyah's Morning Glory. She planted this before they went to Japan and it has grown and is very beautiful!

Wonderful sunset on the Caribbean outside of Jamaica. Gary had just asked me to be his wife forever (again, I just melted!) and given me a beautiful ring!
